- Most women were completely devoted to their homes and families

- They could own property, make contracts, and divorce men
- Children had unstructured lives and mostly just played with toys
- Some children received a school education where they learned morals, writing, math, and sports
- Most boys entered their father's profession at the age of 14
- All men wore a wrap around skirt with a rope tie at the waist
- Women wore straight dresses with shoulder straps
- Children wore their genders clothing at the age of six
- Egyptians mostly went barefoot, but would wear sandals for important events
