Geography of Ancient China
- People settled in the Chang Jiang Valley and near the Huang He river in 7000 BC
- Many of the villages near the Huang He grew into larger cities
- As civilization developed, people began to spread into northern and southeastern China
- Southern China is mostly wet and tropical
- North-west China is covered in desert lands
- The Himalayas are to the west of China
